[Basic Japanese cuisine: All you need to remember]
How to make popular homemade side dishes and rice dishes such as nikujaga (beef and potato stew), yakisoba (buri daikon) and chirashi sushi, which you may think you know but actually don't really understand.
We will introduce not only the basic recipe, but also tips to make it even more delicious.
It's all super easy!
If you master this,
You'll be so confident that you can say, "Leave Japanese cooking to me!"
And if you have any leftover basic side dishes and rice, try quickly arranging them into a different menu the next day!
I hope that the whole family will be able to enjoy delicious meals every day without getting bored, and have fun dining around the table!
Based on this theme, I would like to share with you some basic side dishes and rice recipe ideas.
Use oden ingredients and canned tomatoes to create a luxurious soup full of chunks!
[Oden minestrone]
[material]
・"Five-kind oden" (see previous blog) ingredients... appropriate amount
・Canned whole tomatoes・・・1 can (approx. 400g)
・Grated garlic・・・・1/2 teaspoon
・Finely chopped green onions...a little
・Dashi stock・・・1+3/4 cups
・Salt and coarsely ground black pepper
[How to make]
1. Cut the "Five Kinds Oden" ingredients, except for the eggs, into small bite-sized pieces. Place the whole tomatoes, including the juice from the can, in a bowl and crush them finely with your hands.
②. Put ① and the stock in a pot and heat it. When it boils, add the grated garlic, mix, and season with a little salt and pepper.
③. Place in a bowl, cut an egg in half on top, sprinkle with green onions, and sprinkle with pepper if you like.
I put the remaining kakiage on rice and poured hot green tea over it.
[Tempura tea]
[Ingredients for 2 people]
"Kakiage" (see previous blog)...2 pieces
Shredded seaweed・・・a little
Warm rice・・・2 bowls
Green tea...appropriate amount
*Salted wasabi paste
[How to make]
1. Place rice in a bowl, top with kakiage and sprinkle with a little salt.
2. Place a little wasabi and nori on top, then pour hot green tea around it.
That's all for today.
